Ariun Erdene

Ariun works on research examining consumption patterns of households in Mongolia by utilising household survey data. Describing demand patterns is one of the oldest endeavours in applied microeconomics. The Engel curve shows the relationship between the share of consumption devoted to various goods and services and total consumption. This has important implications in welfare policy in Mongolia, as it enables the examination of differences in consumption behaviours within various strata of households.
