Munkh-Erdene Gantulga is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Anthropology and Archaeology at the National University of Mongolia and a Research Fellow at the Centre for Development Studies at the same university. He has also served as Executive Director of the Mongolian Anthropological Association since 2023. His research interests include development issues, capitalism, informal economies, cultural heritage, and mobile pastoralism in Mongolia and Inner Asia. His work has been published in Current Anthropology, Central Asian Survey, Inner Asia, The Journal of Peasant Studies, Nomadic Peoples, and Mongolian Anthropological Review.
